Budget Billing can also help reduce the possibility of late payment penalties or possible disconnection since you’ll be able to budget your payments.

How is budget billing calculated?

It’s simple, we take amount of energy you used over the previous 12 month period and multiple it by your annual average rate. Once we have that number, we divide it by 12 months to determine your monthly budget billing amount. To help reduce the risk of underpayment, we add 10% to the monthly budget billing amount which is applied to your Indra account balance.
*To prevent any substantial credit or balance due, we will readjust your Budget Billing payment every 3 months to align your payments more closely with your actual energy consumption. When modifications are made to your monthly Budget Billing amount due, we will ensure that you receive a letter from us including the updated payment amount. Please note that Budget Billing amount is calculated for the Supply portion of your bill and does not include the utility’s delivery charges.

We will review your Budget Billing plan every 3 months to make sure your actual usage aligns with the estimated usage used to calculate your budget billing amount. This helps reduce the chances of a substantial credit or large balance due at the end of your budget billing period.
Yes, if your monthly budget billing amount changes, we will send you a letter to let you know.
Your final bill will include charges for your actual usage up to the date of service cancellation. This could result in either a credit or balance due on the final bill.
